Amy Hendershot

DIRECTOR

Amy is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work’s Management Fellows Program. She has been working with social impact organizations for over a decade and has held many roles in both small start-up organizations as well as large scale public programs. 

 

At the core of her philosophy towards organizational success is ethical stewardship, a customer / client driven lens, lean approaches to process and collaborative and results oriented approaches to achieving mission driven goals. Her areas of expertise include data driven decision making, program strategy implementation and scale, project management, Lean Six Sigma methodology and equity work.

 

As a co-founder of OPSTRATA, she works with organizations to ensure successful project and program design and implementation, using her social work background to listen to client needs and come to collaboratively designed solutions to support impact.

OPSTRATA is a social impact consulting firm which exists to support organizations in reaching their goals for sustainable and meaningful effects on people and communities. Our number one focus is the quality of the work and services that we provide. As a minority and women owned firm, we specialize in culturally responsive and inclusive practices when engaging with clients and producing results.

Our mission  is to enhance the decision-making and development process to empower our clients across government, nonprofits, and other organizations to build their capacity to design and implement equitable, scalable, and innovative programming, services, and strategies for stakeholders and communities. We engage in various activities and provide tools and practices to help you measure and monitor progress to identify strengths and gaps along the way. Using these tools for success, our partners will be able to untie organizational knots to do what they do best.

Heather Wilson

Heather Wilson

DIRECTOR

Heather Wilson is a researcher, educator, equity minded strategic consultant and co-founder of OPSTRATA. She supports a range of projects including program design and evaluation, goal setting, performance measurement and database management. Since 2014, she has worked at the New York City Department of Education as a Director of Research and Evaluation where she consulted on various projects to support initiatives and teams in refining strategy, developing metrics for success and evaluating and analyzing results. In this role, she also focuses on equitable evaluation efforts and ensuring equitable expansion of services for all students in New York City Schools.

 

She began her career as a high school math teacher in her hometown of Philadelphia. After a number of years in the classroom Heather transitioned into roles in research and data analysis where she managed, tracked and analyzed two rounds of data collected on over 20,000 students and 9,000 community based organizations CDC funded evaluations.

 

As a motivated, results-oriented collaborator, Heather has helped to make OPSTRATA what we are today. In her work she regularly uses data and evidence based practices to support teams in making strategic decisions to efficiently and effectively move work forward. She employs both human centered design and culturally responsive practices to empower organizations to achieve their mission and goals. Heather holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a MA in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from NYU.
